If you haven’t heard yet, Google (not Microsoft) is taking over the world. Okay, seriously, in the last two days three people have sent me pictures to view at Google’s Picasa Web Albums, which is part of Google Pack. One feature that stuck out to me was the ability to also post short movies (i.e., mpegs) within a Web Album slideshow. I previously used Kodak EasyShare Gallery, but I think I will try out Picasa.
Taking over? Google owns the world already.
Seriously though, I support Google whenever possible for two reasons:
1. Their stuff is just better.
2. They earned all the money and power they have the hard way.
I don’t like Google politics, but I respect and admire their technology and work ethic: they work smart, not hard.
You’re right. I was being kind. Google already owns the world. Case in point…check out the latest, “Google Takes YouTube Global” (BusinessWeek 06/19/06).
