Lavar Arrington Sidelined?

UPDATE: Lavar Arrington’s Sideline Sports Bar - Finally Open in Largo, Md. at The Blvd. (PG Chic, 02/01/2008)
——–
No pun intended. I caught the 11 o’clock news tonight and saw that Lavar Arrington was in a serious motorcycle accident near the Beltway exit off of route 50 in Prince George’s County this afternoon. Evidently, he broke his arm and three bones in his leg. The latest report is that he will be okay and luckily does not have any life threatening injuries.
Dag, Lavar! I guess this means you won’t be at the model auditions (sorry, waitress “recruitment” fair) schedule later this week at the Greenbelt Marriott. If you haven’t heard the radio advertisements (and you’re living under a rock), Lavar is opening a new upscale sports bar at The Blvd. called The Sideline this Fall 2007. My sources could be wrong, but they say The Sideline sports bar will replace the existing Red Star Tavern. I will definitely check out The Sideline when it opens…you just won’t catch me there on game day. I’ll leave the game day traffic for our wonderful, tailgating Washington Redskins fans. (Slightly unrelated—Does anyone else remember having to learn “Hail to the Redskins” at school in like the second grade? Sadly, that’s a true story.)
In all seriousness, we wish Lavar Arrington a speedy recovery!
