I came across a very interesting article in the Gazette recently, “Landover revival pushes ahead – County wants to give area near Landover Mall site a makeover” (06/21/2007). I agree with County Councilman David Harrington (D-Dist. 5) of Cheverly that the area is long overdue for redevelopment. There is really nothing going on at the intersection of Landover Rd. (Route 202) and Brightseat Rd. Once the Wegmans opens in 2008, I think it just a matter of time. Hyattsville and Suitland are other areas in the process of redevelopment.
