Prince George’s County Housing Workshop
August 8th, 2007 by PG Chic
Last week, the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development and WHUR 96.3 FM Radio hosted a foreclosure seminar for over 300 residents, called the “Protect Your Dream” workshop.
There has been widespread coverage of homeowners facing foreclosure locally and across the country. A recent Washington Post article cited more than 700 homes in foreclosure from April 2007 to June 2007 in Montgomery County, MD compared to only 49 during the same period last year. Prince George’s County, MD has more than 2,300 foreclosures for the year so far!
If you are not a homeowner yet or of you are looking into purchasing a new home, finding the right mortgage for your needs is extremely important as a first step to avoiding foreclosure.
