Keith A. Washington Jailed for Marlo Deliverymen Shooting in Md., Found With Handcuff Key

Last week, Keith A. Washington (former county Prince George’s County corporal and former former Prince George’s County homeland security official) was convicted for involutary manslaughter in the shootings of two Marlo deliverymen in his home last January. The latest news is that correctional officers found a universal handcuff key in Washinton’s shirt pocket a few days after the conviction. I guess he was planning on trying to escape?! Can you imagine? What is this Prison Break? lol (I have to give credit to State’s Attorney Glenn F. Ivey for that gem.)

This whole story from the shooting to now is just crazy. The words “above the law” come to mind…I guess only in Washington’s mind. Check the full story at “Ex-Official, Jailed in Md., Found With Handcuff Key” (Washington Post, 03/05/2008).
