Wider Opportunities for Women

I learned about Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) at the Black Family Reunion on Sunday. This site has a DC Metro Area Self-Sufficiency Calculator (DCMASSC) tool which “helps people move toward self-sufficiency, the ability to meet basic needs without financial help.”
The tool also “provides information on available, high-wage, local jobs which do not require a 4-year degree and will support families.” The area of coverage includes D.C, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County.
